TLC Bible reading today is Psalms 41 & 42. There are many blessings for those who care for the poor. God will rescue you when you are in trouble, He will protect you, prosper you, rescue you and restore your health. What are you doing to help the poor?
In chapter 42 David longs for God like a deer pants for a drink of refreshing water on a hot day. David said "I thirst for the living God." David wasn’t merely seeking for relief from his struggles. TLC Bible reading today is Psalms 39 & 40. David chose to guard his life and avoid sinning with his tongue. He would remain silent even though he wanted to express his sorrow and passion. Instead he asked God to help him stay humble, consider his end and the brevity of his days. Life is too precious and too short to engage our opinions and passions in every little thing. Use your words and passions for things that really matter and things you can make a difference in.
In chapter 40 David tells us how God delivered him again. He cries out to God and waited patiently. God brought him out of a horrible pit and out of the miry clay.
