The power of sin is broken because of what Jesus did when he died and resurrected for us. We use to be a slave of sin, but no more. Now we are slaves to righteousness. TLC Bible reading today is Romans 5. Jesus makes all the difference. We have peace with God through Jesus. We have access to faith and hope. Through Adam sin entered humanity but through Jesus that is reversed and He gives us His righteousness. While we were enemies and sinners Jesus died for us. God demonstrated His love for us by sending Jesus to save us and die for us. Salvation is a free gift. Where sin abounded, grace abounded much more. We have great hope in Jesus. Keep working the process to increase hope. Tribulation or problems produce perseverance, perseverance produces character and character produces hope. Hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Cling to hope. Increase your hope. ... See more
TLC Bible reading today is Romans 4. Our right standing with God is achieved by faith. To those who believe it is accounted to them as righteousness. Abraham was the first and he is the father of faith. He shows us what belief really is. He never wavered. He believed God would do what He promised. Abraham acted on his faith and directed his life based on his belief in God. Contrary to hope he believed in hope and received all God promised to him. Today we believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised up because of our justification.
