TLC Bible reading today is Psalms 107-109. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so! Tell of His goodness. He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the longing soul with goodness. They cried unto the Lord in their trouble and He saved them from all their distresses. He sent His word and healed them! Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who will tread down our enemies.
Save me O God from my enemies who falsely accuse me. Let them curse but you bless. You will stand at my right hand and save me from those who condemn me. I will praise you for all your great works. ... See more
TLC Bible reading today is Psalms 104-106. Three chapters with three very different experiences. Chapter 104 describes God as creator and all the wonderful planning, working and the wonderful results of God creating our world. He is amazing and powerful.
Chapter 105 describes a time in Israel's history when God favored them, blessed them, fulfilled His promises to them as they enjoyed His presence.
Chapter 106 describes a time when Israel turned away from God, disobeyed Him and served false gods of their time. Life went bad for them, they were destroyed and taken captive into other nations.
There is always a way back though. God loves to forgive and restore us. We could save ourselves a lot of trouble though if we just stayed faithful to God and walked in His loving ways. ... See more
TLC Bible reading today is Psalms 101-103. David is reminding himself and encouraging himself to praise God. "Bless the Lord O my soul, forget not all His benefits, He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases. He redeems our life from destruction, crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies, He satisfies our mouth with good things. He is slow to anger and abundant in mercy."
In Psalm 101 David responds to God with devotion and holy living. "I will behave wisely in a perfect way ... with a perfect heart ... I will set nothing wicked before my eyes ... I will not work wickedness ... those who slander and tell lies shall not continue in my presence ..."
What does your devotion and holy living look like? God is worthy of our best living and our greatest devotion. ... See more
