TLC Bible reading today is 1 Corinthians 6. Believers should be able to work out their differences and issues with each other without judges, lawyers and trials. Be wiser. Find a wise person to mediate or just suffer the wrong, forgive and move on with life. As believers we will judge the world and even judge angels ... we can judge issues in our lives now too. This chapter then shifts back to how sin will send us to hell, even if we are believers. He goes through a list of people who will not inherit the kingdom of God: " don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or are drunkards, or are abusive, or who cheat people - none of these will inherit the kingdom of God." We used to do these things but now we are cleansed by Jesus and the Spirit of God. Our bodies and lives are not for sin. We belong to God now. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. ... TLC Bible reading today is 1 Corinthians 5. Sin is toxic. It is like poison that will kill us. This church was proud that they didn’t judge sin and were so accepting of everyone and everything. Paul is telling them God's word teaches we cannot be casual towards sin in believers. This believer was in danger of going to hell because of his sin but judging his sin has the potential of rescuing him. We are not to be accepting of believers who indulge in sexual sin, greed, drunkness, cheaters and idolaters. This is not a complete list but we should get the point. Adam and Eve sinned, Jesus died because of our sin, we are saved and set free from sin, the wages of sin is death. Quit sinning. Quit being accepting of sin. We want people to be saved from Satan and sin. Beware, a little leaven leavens the whole lump. A little sin will grow into a whole lot of sin. Casual Christianity creates Christian casualties. ...
